Anita was born 29 September 1931 in Malmö, Sweden. In her teenage years, young Anita worked as a fashion model. In 1950, 19 year old Ekberg won Miss Malmö and also Miss Sweden, After that, she went to USA to compete on Miss Universe show. She ended up in top six. During 1950’s her curvaceous body made her on of the most popular pin-up models. Ekberg slowly gained a name also in Hollywood industry. Her notable movies include Hollywood or Bust, War and Peace , and La Dolce Vita.
