Katerina was born 10 May 1996 in Hradec Kralove, Czech Republic to a Czech mother and Russian father. After an intense training, Siniakova entered WTA in 2013. In 2017, she already won her first title. One year later, Siniakova ended second after defeating Sharapova and losing against Halep.
