Kristen was born on Juli 1, 1976 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania into the family of an engineer and a real estate agent. She holds Bachelor of Arts degree from prestigious Harvard College. She studied history there and graduated with honors in 1998.
Welker worked for several local stations before joining the NBC team in 2005. Her current job position as a White House correspondent dates back to 2011. She is married to a marketing director of Merck & Co. Their wedding ceremony in March 2017 was simply fabulous.
