She is a member of Libertarian party and her political views are often perceived as alt-right. She also self-published a book and her YouTube channel amassed over 500 thousand subscribers.
Southern is famous for her criticism of immigration and many controversial topics. As of 2018, Lauren is working on a documentary devoted to a racially motivated violence against white farmers in South Africa.
