Melissa Viviane Jefferson rose to prominence under her stage name Lizzo. Although she is musically active for a long time, her fame skyrocketed in 2019 with a new single Truth Hurts and later also her older single from 2016 called Good as Hell was rediscovered by radios and enjoyed similar success. Lizzo is proud of her curvaceous body measurements with with hourglass shape. She weighs 309 pounds and often performs on stage wearing daring costumes, corsets, and bodysuits. Short Bio

Lizzo was born April 27, 1988 in Detroit, Michigan but grew up in Texas. At the age of 14, she already founded her first group and proved an undeniable talent. She studied flute at the University of Houston but after the death of her father, young Lizzo went through some tough times. At one point, she was homeless, living in her car, while trying to jumpstart her musical career.

In 2013, she released her debut album Lizzobangers, focusing mainly on hip hop genre. Three years later, she started to finally being noticed on a larger scale. Her album Coconut Oil came out, including her big hit Good as Hell. Lizzo appeared on several TV shows and by 2019, almost everybody knew her.

Her biggest single so far, Truth Hurts, is accompanied by a video clip in which she marries herself. Lizzo is openly supporting LGBTQ+ but never clearly labeled her orientation, just saying that it is impossible to describe as just one thing. She is also a passionate advocate for a positive body image and embraces her curves. She is a living proof that weight loss isn’t a requirement to make it in a show business.
