Oprah was born January 29, 1954 in Kosciusko, Mississippi. Her professional career started in 1983, when she hosted morning talk show AM Chicago. Due to huge success, the show was renamed The Oprah Winfrey Show, expanded in time, and broadcasted nationally in 1986. Winfrey also appeared in several movies, such as The Color Purple, Lincoln and 2013 film The Butler.
