Sania was born 15 November 1986 in Mumbai, India. Mirza was playing tennis since her childhood and turned professional in 2003. In 2010, Sania married Shoaib Malik, a Pakistani cricketer. In 2013, Mirza reached the quarterfinals on Australian Open mixed doubles together with Bob Bryan.
